Gate Burton.
Powering homes, driving net zero
Engaging and informing community and stakeholder groups about a major clean energy project.
Gate Burton Energy Park is a new solar and energy storage facility being developed by Low Carbon. Once built, the 500 MW project will provide enough solar capacity to power approximately 160,000 homes with clean electricity and play a key role in reaching net zero.
The Camargue Group (jfd and Camargue) was tasked with supporting this Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) with its public consultation.
Low Carbon had essential access to a team of industry-focused copywriters and strategists, as well as creative and digital experts. The Group delivered a Development Consent Order (DCO) programme of pre-application communications, including two stages of public consultation and wider engagement, helping to strengthen relationships with stakeholders and spread awareness of solar’s role in the UK’s energy mix.
We produced print and digital materials for public engagement throughout the consultation process. We also created a strong identity for Gate Burton Energy Park, supporting with the delivery of essential maps and communications materials.
Our digital team developed a project-specific website to provide detailed information about the proposed solar park. During the consultation periods, the public was invited to share their feedback on the plans and proposals through an online feedback form.
The DCO was granted in July 2024, and we’re pleased to have been a part of this crucial project.
